Conserving South Luangwa
LCCF - Luangwa Conservation and Community Fund
For many years the safari operators in the Luangwa Valley have been working with the South Luangwa Conservation Society (SLCS) to ensure continued conservation. We are also involved in Project Luangwa and the Kawaza School Fund – projects that work towards better education and opportunities in the community. We feel that continuity is critical to these projects. To ensure the long term future of these essential projects we are introducing a “Conservation & Community Fund” to our rates; $10 per person per night. This fee will be added to the invoice and the funds will be split evenly between SLCS and PL/KSDF. We believe that our guests will be satisfied to know they have contributed directly to ensuring the ongoing survival of the wildlife & environment as well as the development of the local community.
- from 2010 we added $10 per bednight to the invoice
- children under 12 will pay 50%, for children over 12 years and over at time of travel the full amount will apply
Thank you.
