Walking Safaris
Information about our walking safaris
You can choose to walk when at the camps, on a daily basis. However, we have these safaris for those who would like to experience a dedicated walking safari.
- Walking Mobile Safari
- Walking Mobile Safari
Ten day safari, that includes (6 days/5 nights) walking along a remote tributary of the Luangwa River.
- Robin Pope Bush Camping
- Robin Pope Bush Camping
Walking from camp to camp and stay at simple but extremely comfortable camps on the way. We operate these safaris in two different and contrasting areas.
Luangwa Bush Camping in the Nsefu Sector, walking in the game rich riverine areas of the lagoons and woodlands that run along side the river.
Mupamadzi Bush Camping. During the month of October there is the chance to walk in the Mupamadzi River area and camping under a grove of trees. This clear water perennial river is a tributary of the Luangwa and will be the last water in the area for the game. The area is diverse in habitat as it is near the escarpment and so species that you do not see on the Luangwa River are found – roan, hartebeest, reedbuck included. The safaris, with maximum of six guests, leave Nkwali every Sunday and Thursday.
- North Luangwa Walking
- North Luangwa Walking
Combining our camps in the South Luangwa with a walking bushcamp in the North.
