This is an exceptional 14 day safari combining South Luangwa National Park, Bangweulu Swamps, Kasanka National Park and the Lower Zambezi National Park. One of our leading guides - Keyala (Kiki) Phiri - will lead this trip. Any of our guests who has travelled to Nkwali, will remember Kiki for his outstanding knowledge and infectious laugh.
After a few days at Nkwali in the South Luangwa the group flies to Bangweulu Swamps remains one of Zambia special gems - with superb birding from all the water birds to the endangered wattled crane elegantly strolling around the plains. Of course the star attraction remains the extraordinary shoebill stork. At this time of year it is virtually a sure sighting. The area also hosts the endemic black lechwe, along with tsessebe and buffalo. At Kasanka there are many bird species that will be new to the safari and the sitatunga will certainly been seen at the swamp. The safari ends up in the famous Lower Zambezi National Park - where they will be the chance to spend time boating and canoeing on the Zambezi River.
