After the amazing enthusiasm the photographic competition (see results) we will run one for those who come this Emerald Season.
Join us this coming January – May period (ending 21 May) and submit your photos.
Rules
- only for photos taken when on safari with RPS during period 01 Jan – 21 May 2008.
- max 20 photos, JPEG only, max 100 kbytes per photo (due to downloading capacity in the bush!).
- photos should be named with a number and photographers name.
- all entries to be in by 30 June.
- RPS has access to unrestricted copyright of all photos entered.

Dash to the Bush for the Birders
For the birders – we have top expert birding guides, and can take you to many different habitats in the Luangwa, accessing the more remote riverine areas by boat and foot.
We will take you to towards the Chendeni Hills, through the mopane, searching for the Arnot’s chat, swallow tailed beeaters, racket tailed rollers. Towards the Mchinga Escparment you might even see a black bellied korhan. And of course all the migrants and the residents are breeding during this period – many in spectacular plumage. The tributaries and lagoons of the Luangwa are wonderful places to spend mornings birding.

A rate to relax and recuperate in camp (bed and full board only). Safari activities available when requested. Only available staying 5+ nights.
2008 and 2009 Emerald Season Rate:
USD$ 250 per person per night for accommodation, meals, bar.
USD$ 50 per person per activity taken – charged at camp. Boating, walking and game drives.
Can combine the R&R rate with full rate eg 3 nights R&R, plus 4 night normal safari. Minimum 7 nights when combining rates.
Don't forget the Emerald Season Long Stay Safari – enjoy a discount of 15% in 2008 and 10% in 2009 if you stay for seven or more nights.
