Rates from US$7417 per participant and US$6874 for non-participating partner (sharing).
Valid: 17 May 2023 set departure.
Minimum 3 participants required for trip to take off.
Includes: accommodation, meals, bar, laundry, safari, filming workshop as per itinerary (participating partner), applicable transfers in South Luangwa and return domestic flights from Lusaka.
Exclude: gratuities, visa fees (where applicable), items of a personal nature.
- Bring your own camera with filming option.

Wildlife filming safari in the Luangwa Valley
Spend a week with Emmy nominee & multiple award-winning wildlife filmmakers, Will & Lianne Steenkamp, and learn what it takes to make the most of your own wildlife videos whilst on safari. Will & Lianne have filmed several wildlife documentaries in South Luangwa, titles include Leopard Legacy, Hippo King and contributions to BBC’s Eden – Untamed Planet, and Big Cats among many others. Also they are known for their long running film project, Vanishing Kings.
On this safari you will enjoy:
- 7 nights stay between the exclusive Luangwa Safari House and & historical Nsefu Camp.
- Practical experience with world-class professional wildlife camera equipment & edit facilities.
- One-on-one workshops to learn the ins and outs of wildlife filmmaking.

Day 1 - 4: Luangwa Safari House
You will often get up before dawn so you're in the park in time for the fantastic dawn light. Will and Lianne will join you on most game drives.
The highlights include having them demonstrate filming techniques and then giving you an opportunity to also use the ‘big rig’ professional camera equipment, fully assembled as per professional shoots. Theory sessions will also be held, focusing on ethics, approach, technology, camera, editing and execution. Will & Lianne will also host a practical editing session inclusive of 2 edit facilities, further enhancing your experience. There will of course be plenty of time to have you enjoy the safari experience, where you can opt to either have a game drive or walking safari.
Day 5 - 7: Nsefu Camp
Nsefu Sector offers quite a different safari experience to the area you have explored thus far in South Luangwa. It certainly gives a lot more of the remote wilderness experience, so the safari can only get better. Will and Lianne will give you a talk and demonstration of aerial filming during one of the afternoons. After one evening drive, you will explore the concept of night filming and on one morning sunrise filming. Also, with a wildlife viewing hide in camp, you will have an excellent opportunity to learn about filming from hides plus a demonstration as well.
Over the campfire, Will and Lianne will share their experiences of making films around Nsefu.
