Game Drive
Game drives are a popular way to experience wildlife, offered in both the morning and afternoon for optimal viewing.
Walking Safari
Morning walks are ideal when it's cool, offering a relaxed pace to discover fresh tracks, signs, and the intricate details often missed on game drives.
Boat Safari
Glide through the channels early in the season when the Kafue floodplains are still brimming with rainwater.
Fishing
Enjoy some catch and release fishing.
Canoe Safaris
Only available in June (dependant on water levels seasonally)
The Busanga Plains, accessible from April to October, offer some of the best game viewing in Southern Africa. Thousands of red lechwe and puku gather near receding water channels, while hippos, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife thrive. The plains are a prime habitat for lions, featured in documentaries like Swamp Lions. Leopards also roam these vast grasslands. As the sun sets, the sounds of hippos and lions echo across this remote wilderness, offering a truly immersive safari experience.
