A great safari and beach getaway

A combination of some of Malawi’s major highlights with the premier Park in Zambia, The South Luangwa.

The Luangwa Valley, which marks the end of the Great Rift Valley, is one of the last unspoiled wilderness areas and possibly the finest wildlife sanctuary in Africa. It covers an area of over 9000 sq. km. through which the meandering Luangwa River runs. The ox bow lagoons, woodland and plains of the valley host huge concentrations of game – including elephant, buffalo, leopard, lion, giraffe, hippo – and over 450 species of birds. During your time in the Luangwa Valley, you will spend time at Luangwa River Camp.

Next stop is the unspoiled Liwonde National Park another African Parks success story which promises an ultimate safari retreat where you can experience the many activities on offer with complete privacy. Located on a large open plain stretching towards the Shire River in Liwonde National Park, you will find Kuthengo Camp nestled among Fever trees and Baobabs. The park is considered one of the top birding locations in Southern Africa and offers some of the most scenic game viewing, beautiful riverine surroundings and varied bird watching you could wish to find. A great deal of the terrain is Shire River floodplains, much loved by the healthy population of Elephants in this park. With resident fish eagles nesting in these Baobabs, you will be woken to ‘Africa’s voice’ calling as you rise in this wild and natural paradise. Game in Liwonde includes hippos, crocodiles, elephants, rhinos, lions, cheetah, wild dogs, various antelopes and more.

Situated on the exclusive Nankoma Island in the breathtaking Marelli Archipelago within Lake Malawi National Park, Blue Zebra Island Lodge is the perfect island escape to round off your safari adventure. Surrounded by crystal-clear waters and indigenous woodland, this eco-friendly lodge offers the ideal balance of relaxation and adventure. Activities include snorkeling amongst the colourful cichlid fish, kayaking, scenic boat cruises, birdwatching, guided nature walks, or simply unwinding beside the infinity pool while soaking up the tranquil beauty of Lake Malawi.
