Wildlife

The Busanga Plains, accessible from April to October, provide some of the finest game viewing in Southern Africa. As the water channels recede, thousands of red lechwe and puku congregate, while hippos, crocodiles, and vibrant birdlife flourish. This unique landscape is a renowned habitat for lions, famously featured in documentaries like Swamp Lions, and is also home to elusive leopards. As the sun sets over the plains, the distant roars of lions and the grunts of hippos fill the air, creating an unforgettable and immersive safari experience in one of Africa’s most remote wildernesses.
